Minister for Women and Child Development, Laxmi Rajwade, today visited the elephant-affected villages of Ghaghitikra, Kalyanpur, Khuthenpara, and Kotbahara in the Latori region of Surajpur district. During her visit, she assessed the damage caused by elephants firsthand and interacted directly with the villagers to listen to their problems.
Assuring the villagers, Minister Laxmi Rajwade said that the government stands with the people and will provide all possible assistance. She immediately spoke to the concerned patwari (revenue officer) over the phone and instructed them to prepare compensation cases promptly and ensure swift financial aid to the affected families.
Minister Rajwade stated that any damage caused by natural disasters or wild animals will be taken seriously. She emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the government is committed to standing sensitively with every affected citizen.
It is noteworthy that in recent days, herds of elephants have caused damage to paddy fields, crops, and some houses in several villages of Surajpur district, creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the villagers.
