Surajpur: As per the instructions of the District Education Officer, Surajpur, a successful one-day workshop was organized on December 31, 2025, at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Surajpur, on the occasion of National Science and Mathematics Day. The main objective of the workshop was to develop interest in science and mathematics among students and teachers, encourage innovative teaching methods, and guide teachers in preparing for the district-level science exhibition, poster making, quiz competition, and rangoli competition to be held on National Science Day.
Teachers from various schools in the district participated enthusiastically in the workshop. During the program, engaging activities related to science and mathematics, practical demonstrations, problem-solving sessions, and effective guidance were provided by subject experts. The speakers emphasized the need to connect science and mathematics to daily life and shared ways to make the teaching-learning process more effective in line with the New Education Policy. The teachers described the event as informative and inspiring.
The chief guests at the program were District Education Officer Ajay Kumar Mishra, District Mission Coordinator Manoj Sahu, and Assistant Director Ravindra Singh Dev. The District Education Officer provided information on the innovations taking place in the field of science and urged teachers to effectively implement them in classroom teaching. O.P. Rajwade, Arun Kumar Chaubey, Santosh Kumar Upadhyay, and Dushyant Kumar Rajwade, as mathematics subject experts, and Akbar Qureshi, Rajesh Singh, and Gopal Singh, as science subject experts, shared their views at the workshop.
At the end of the program, Shambhu Prasad Nishad, District Coordinator of the National Children’s Science Congress, expressed his gratitude to all the guests, subject experts, and participants. Former District Coordinator Anu Kande, along with supporting teachers R.B. Yadav, Abhishek Kumar Gupta, Deepak Patel, Aditya Dubey, Dinesh Kumar Prajapati, and mathematics and science lecturers from the district were also present on the occasion.
