Surajpur: The night Kabaddi Competition organized by the Ganesh Puja Committee in the Ramnagar (Dhavarapara) Gram Panchayat of the district concluded on Friday night amid joy and enthusiasm. Premnagar MLA Bhulan Singh Marabi and Block President Swati Singh attended the competition as special guests. The final match was played between Ramnagar Star Club and Saraswatipur, where the audience’s enthusiasm was palpable.
Both teams displayed strong performance on the field, but in the crucial moments, Ramnagar Star Club prevailed by a 7-point margin. The final score was 43 for Ramnagar and 37 for Saraswatipur. With this victory, Ramnagar became the winner, while Saraswatipur was the runner-up. Villagers and sports enthusiasts from the surrounding areas left no stone unturned to cheer the players, and the field resounded with applause until late in the night.

The competition showcased not only sports but also a glimpse of culture. The captivating performance of the Karma dance added to the vibrant atmosphere. The most captivating sight was when MLA Bhulan Singh Marabi, wearing a Mandar around his neck, joined the dancers in step, enjoying the Chhattisgarhi tradition.
Finally, the winning and runner-up teams were honored. Panchs, Sarpanchs, public representatives, villagers, and a large number of spectators were present. This event was a confluence of sports and culture, filling the entire village with enthusiasm and excitement.
