Surajpur: The students and youth of the district are going to get a big gift in the field of education. With the continuous efforts of Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, a state-of-the-art central library and reading zone will now be built in Surajpur, for which administrative approval of Rs 441.49 lakh has been given by the state government.
This library will be constructed in the financial year 2025-26. It will be prepared in a modern form with a capacity of 250 seats, which will have facilities like e-learning resources, digital study material, high-speed internet, quiet reading zone and smart library management system. It will benefit school students, youth preparing for competitive exams, as well as citizens fond of reading and writing.
Minister Laxmi Rajwade expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Finance Minister OP Choudhary on this historic decision. He said, “This Central Library is not just a building but a strong foundation that will guide the future of the youth of Surajpur. This is a big step towards establishing a knowledge-based society, which will give the district a new identity on the education map.”
This announcement has created a wave of enthusiasm in the district. Students, parents and social organizations have praised this initiative and called it a milestone in the educational development of Surajpur.
